With Christmas just around the corner 8build, Noah’s Ark’s main contractor for new children’s hospice building, The Ark, has been playing Santa with a generous donation of presents to the charity’s Family Activities Team.

8build purchased a selection of gifts from a Noah’s Ark’s Christmas wish list, with something for all age groups – from Play-Doh to perfume. Items include toys, cosmetics and electronic devices. They are all designed to meet the sensory needs of children with many different conditions, meaning night-lights, projectors and disco balls all feature in the donation.

Jamie Godden, Divisional Director at 8build said: “Our donation is a small gesture, which we hope the children will enjoy. It’s part of our commitment to support the team at Noah’s Ark in any way we can – in a true spirit of partnership.”

8build was appointed as main contractor to deliver The Ark in May 2017. The 8build team is currently using its expertise to procure all elements of the build, and along with the chosen supply chain, is aiming to drive down costs significantly.

Jamie Godden said: “8build saw The Ark project as an opportunity to give back to the community. Our whole team is enthusiastic and driven about making The Ark become a reality; offering a wider range of care to 1,200 babies, children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions in the Noah’s Ark catchment areas.”
