Give an Hour

We’re asking everyone to help support us in building The Ark by giving an hour of their salary. If 25% of those employed across the areas we support donated the London Living Wage of £9.75 we could build The Ark.

Comments from some of our supporters

I have donated this year instead of sending Christmas Cards. Good luck with the building project.

Very exciting watching the Ark become a reality.

No not at all! You can make a donation via our donate page or via cheque. If you want to contact a member of our Fundraising Team they will be happy to help you with your donation. Please do not send any cash via the post.
You can donate as much as you like! To donate more than an hour simply click on a donate button and add the amount you would like to donate. You can also click on our donate button on the calculator and write in the amount you would like to donate on the donation page
Our salary calculator calculates an hour and a day by dividing your annual salary by 52 to obtain a simple weekly salary, then dividing that figure by the number of hours and days that you have told us you work.

Please do feel free to work out your own hour rather than use our calculator based on your own personal circumstances.

The calculator works out the total depending on what has been input. If you have used your annual gross income NI and Tax will be included but if you use your annual net income NI and Tax will not be included.
Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice has operated a Hospice-at-Home service in North and Central London since 2006, but has never had a building of its own to help support the many children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions in its care.

North and Central London and Hertsmere are not served by a children’s hospice building; and the NHS doesn’t fund children’s hospice provision (less than 10% of our income comes from statutory sources).

The time has come to put this right and Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice is seeking support for a multi-million pound build project that will create a national centre of excellence for children’s hospices in the Capital. Our model of care and holistic approach is already widely respected throughout the hospice movement, but the new building will allow us to provide support in a 21st Century hospice setting for hundreds more children and their siblings and parents. It will be a hub for expert end-of-life care, urgent respite support, essential therapies, and group and play activities to help children and families.
