Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice has operated a Hospice-at-Home service in North and Central London since 2006, but has never had a building of its own to help support the many children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions in its care.
North and Central London and Hertsmere are not served by a children’s hospice building; and the NHS doesn’t fund children’s hospice provision (less than 10% of our income comes from statutory sources).
The time has come to put this right and Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice is seeking support for a multi-million pound build project that will create a national centre of excellence for children’s hospices in the Capital. Our model of care and holistic approach is already widely respected throughout the hospice movement, but the new building will allow us to provide support in a 21st Century hospice setting for hundreds more children and their siblings and parents. It will be a hub for expert end-of-life care, urgent respite support, essential therapies, and group and play activities to help children and families.
